a long-standing history of conditioning the masses into complacency. also the EU and its various nations have a much deeper history than we do in worker-led revolts and organizations; our government put a lot of effort into stomping out meaningful organization whenever it occurred, to the point of even activating the national guard against striking workers multiple times😭
