Secondly, aipac isn’t that big of a lobby by basically any metric. I’m all for being against lobbies but ironically both sides of politics have turned aipac into the boogeyman when it’s not that powerful or exceptional.

I agree we should just get rid of PACs, citizens united is mid. Yes they are around 20th in spending, maybe higher if you consider their shell PACs like “elect Chicago women” The issue is AIPAC operates as a domestic lobby and yet its interests solely serve a foreign nation. It should be registered as a foreign agent and it should have zero involvement with US lawmakers. Read my other comment I go in depth

Trackaipac has got to be the most intentionally misleading organization. They use different methodologies for different candidates based on how much they like them to make them look bad. Like I said there’s a lot of pacs that do this this is not some new concept. Of X ethnic group American lobby.

Lots of American groups advocate aid, sanctions, arms sales, or security commitments involving other countries. The legal question is whether they act under a foreign government’s direction, not whether their preferred policy benefits a foreign country.

Aipac is run by Americans. It can and has disagreed with the Israeli government on several occasions most recently with the incorporation of Benny gvir into the coalition. I’m all for reducing foreign influence on American politics namely China Qatar and the Saudis, but youve still yet to provide any evidence that it’s not run by Americans. You can disagree with then you can hate them. You can think it’s the devil spawn but it doesn’t meet the metric of a foreign agent.
