I don’t get why we can’t just do mail in voting. I had to show all kinds of ID to get my drivers license and that’s the same meeting they register you to vote in my state. so the very fact that i’m registered means i already showed ID to be sent a ballot

yes!! i’ve only voted by mail and i genuinely can’t imagine having to wait for hours in line on a random tuesday, having to arrange time off work and/or school and also being responsible for transportation to god knows where

My “radical” policy idea is to make Election Day a federal holiday. I still wouldn’t get it off because I work in a 24/7/365 business but it would free up a lot of people who otherwise can’t go vote.
