Attempted Chinese coup just wiped out their entire senior command. Welp…there goes the last super power I guess 😂

Xi is just doing an army purge like Stalin did in the 1930s just on a much smaller level, it’s not like the entire Chinese chain of command is gone

No, they’re just removing the top general for espionage. It wasn’t a coup.

It’s like the last two generals who have real combat experience. It’s effectively turning them into a paper tiger.

Not really, China is still the second most powerful military on earth with the largest industrial base, also these generals do not have much combat experience since China has not fought a war since ‘79

Power doesn’t really mean much if it’s not used correctly or limit tested. Iraq and Afghanistan were huge for the US in regard to being a functioning fighting force. I would suggest reading up on General David Berger and Force Design 2030. Fairly interesting.

For fighting it is, for occupation it is not, hence why for every 1 American killed, 50 taliban insurgents were killed, we just couldn’t form a government compatible with Afghanistan

Well military forces are meant to build governments. I don’t know if that was even in the initial plan for the military when we invaded Afghanistan. China has yet to show any actual force that can be measured. I’m not saying you’re wrong because they have a big ass navy and a shit load of troops…but their tech isn’t there and their logistical strength is unknown.

Their tech is not that far behind ours, the type 99a tank has equivalent tech to the m1a2, and China has a 6th gen fighter and we don’t

Yeah it was a military victory but a political failure

Again, “six Gen” means nothing. The Russians are a really good example of th exact thing I’m talking about. The Type-92 is getting its shit rocked by drones because Russia never adapted to modern war. You can bet your ass the United States is collecting as much data as it can from the Ukrainian side for tech and fighting doctrine. China is still operating on its doctrine of Mass+Control while lacking quality. The type 99A is only comparable ON PAPER because it’s never seen action.

Even at that, we’re seeings serious change in heavy armor and its use in combat now given that a $600 drone can destroy a $2.5 million dollar machine.

China produces more drones than the rest of the world combined
