I don’t agree that it should get worse but I think it’s better to say that it is fully a consequence of patriarchy (and of white supremacist colonial individualism)
The Cornell 7 case and its defenders has made realize that I not only couldn’t care less about the male loneliness epidemic, I think it should actually increase in numbers. Coming from a man btw.

It’s not even real so it should get worse. I’m a single guy not dating anyone at the moment. I ain’t lonely because I’m not a loser. Lonely males are lonely because they’re losers. There’s plenty more loser men who should be a lot lonelier

No there’s a societal problem of men not being able to open up emotionally in spaces that allow them to be safe and vulnerable. With all due respect, the language you’re using is very harmful and only serves to further the patriarchy. You can criticize patriarchy and men’s role in upholding it without saying harmful things like this.

Calling lonely men losers is the exact script that makes them lonely. Patriarchy teaches boys that needing anyone is weakness, so they learn to suppress their feelings instead of having feelings, and anger ends up the only "manly" one left. Shaming that doesn't fix it, it gives him another wound to prove himself over. Guilt pushes people to repair, shame pushes them to hide or lash out. Want fewer Cornell 7s? The isolation is the problem, not the punishment.

EXACTLY THIS. This is why I hate cynicism.
