Decriminalize it for the prostitutes but make it illegal for the people to purchase their services

Shouldn’t be normalized shouldn’t be criminalized for the sex worker either makes it harder to come forward in cases of sex trafficking

It's tough because of the way it works, you can't go to either end completely. If you criminalize it to the fullest extent, you risk losing valuable information about the high levels of sex trafficking from victims who were trafficked because you criminalized their prostitution. If you normalize it obviously you risk letting sex trafficking just slip through the cracks alongside however many legal operations happen

Legalized but not normalized either. Pimps should be arrested, prostitutes should not. When it’s just lone actor pimping him/herself out then I see it as an ultimately victimless crime, but it’s still too unhealthy for society for normalization

make the act of physically selling your body by state but virtual sex work (onlyfans and the like) should be legal nationally

Why attack the product of the issue and not the cause?

I understand the argument of bodily autonomy but the power imbalance is still inherent to the work, at least if we’re talking about prostitution, online sex work is completely diff
