This isn’t as crazy of a take as it sounds. Minorities like Hindus and Buddhists are routinely lynched by mobs and the efforts by the government to halt this have been token at best. Also, Pakistan never apologized for the (US backed) Bangladesh genocideThere’s overlaps in the sense that there’s genocide against religious minorities, but it’s a super different situation, most importantly because it’s not a settler colony, but also widespread religious genocide isn’t unique to Pakistan regionally. India being the most obvious example: the prime minister started his career by instigating a riot that killed like 2,000 people. Not saying Pakistan is doing great things or anything but the situation really doesn’t warrant that kind of comparison.
