I think the issue might be that some people consider “regime change” to just be literally killing the current leader, while others consider it reforming the entire system

I mean his argument was very specific about believing the military operation would be over within the week which is why I was trying to explain to him that the U.S. military operation is intending to do a lot more that will take longer than a week, also that the geopolitical ramifications will mean that this cannot just be done and dusted in a few days lol
