It almost kinda reminds me of the US invasion on Iraq, countries like Spain and the UK sent troops into Iraq even after Colin Powell’s claims that they had WMDs were proven to be false. The large majority of the people in Spain and UK disapproved of that action, and Spain’s PM even did it without parliamentary approval. It became about oil, power, and control. Americans bought it.

Obviously incredibly different scenarios but the ways that we’ve seen leaders approach their nations and the UN are similar to me. I’m disappointed every day at how little action we see leaders taking despite the loud, outspoken objections from the people.
