Segregation was terrible and people fought against it for a reason. It forced black people into worse neighborhoods and worse schools. Because the white community had more access to finance (from the investment of white governments, wage discrimination, the legacy of slavery, loan discrimination), the white establishments would almost always be higher quality. And then black people, despite the odds, built something great (like in Tulsa), white racists would try to destroy it.

Segregation would be terrible even if the communities had equal level of finance, because people should be able to be friends with other ethnicities AND race is a construct so you can never create accurate lines. But the communities DONT have equal level of finance or population so that means minorities will have it worse.

Segregation didnt end completely. The financial legacies of redlining still exist, school segregation slowly re-instituted itself, and employment discrimination still exists. But it’s objectively different from when people weren’t allowed to go to the beach because they were black. And your response to “these shitty things didn’t end completely” is “bring back the shitty things in full”?

Ok, I read your original comment as claiming something like “segregation would remove the ability for white people to exploit black people.” That’s seemingly what OOP thinks, assuming they are responsible for the several posts along those lines yesterday.
