It’s not okay to be racist no matter who you are. That’s what being principled is about

“I hate an entire race/ethnicity because of the actions of a small part of that group” is not nuance. That in fact lacks nuance

you clearly have no clue what the word "nuance" means

clearly you aren’t knowledgeable enough about global relations or that specific event to comment wouldn’t you think it’s justified for jews to hate germans if they lived through the holocaust?

it would be justified for jews to hate nazis, not germans. not to mention those jews *were* germans. many jews are currently germans and love the nation and it's people. you're not very bright

you're clearly just trying to rationalize racism - a fundamentally irrational and illogical view

would you feel comfortable telling a holocaust survivor that they’re not justified in hating germans if they did?

it can be irrational and illogical but also be understandable

Would you be comfortable telling someone who survived Pearl Harbor that they shouldn’t hate all Japanese people. I would because that attitude would have prevented Japanese people from being thrown in concentration camps in America. I hate the ideology of fascism, not a specific race or ethnicity.

yes i would absolutely feel perfectly comfortable telling a holocaust survivor that hating germans broadly for the actions of the nazis is wrong and unjustified. idk what you thought that question was gonna do 🤣 spare the idpol

we're not talking about "understandable". i can *understand* why people become hateful. they're still *in the wrong*

Sure it can be illogical but i’m sure as hell not gonna argue that they’re wrong Same way i’m not gonna tell a woman who crosses the street when she sees a man approaching that she’s sexist

they *are* wrong and you would be wrong to be a bystander to hatred, whether or not you "understand" it false equivalency detected, sentiment rejected
