I think that higher ed classes conducted online, whether instruction and work is both done on a computer or work is turned in to a platform like Canvas, is highly problematic because the literature produced therein is easier to manipulate and erase

This is especially becoming concerning in an era of ai surveillance and government intervention where governments demand backdoors into computers, even to the point that they set a timeline wherein for example a car can be disabled by the government if they so feel the need to cripple your mode of transport, and where ai on a whim is capable of deleting entire databases

I would like to clarify too, I don’t think we should just go back to pen and paper, there’s no denying that typing documents rather than penning them out is much more time-effective, I just think that we should be more carefully intentioned with how we handle literary data such that the works we as students and as we as researchers produce whether for our own education or for your field of speciality is valuable work that ultimately benefits the whole of humanity even if indirectly
