Well he would like bc 1. It punishes a blue state he loves when that happens 2. He would get to rhetorically talk about how the dems defended someone who just drone striked their state. 3. He would get to hold federal funding for the rebuilding over their head, he also loves to do that.

I think it’s credible I’m just saying it was a warning of a possible attack with not a high probability of happening this is a quote from the hill “A source with experience in counterterrorism told the Los Angeles Times that the threat has “not been deemed credible at this time.” They urged that the warning was cautionary.”

hence why they’re already discussing the potential for deployment and the activation of the draft. they’re planning around escalating the conflict, rather than any attempt at de-escalating it.

They’re not talking about the draft, that lady is a messenger pigeon. She got asked a question on tv out of the blue and gave an answer without saying yes or no, that’s largely different from the White House making a statement. So many people fear mongering over that. I really don’t think they want martial law on the homeland. I don’t know how you drew that conclusion. The only thing you bring up that I see likely is utilizing ground forces in Iran. But they’re trying to avoid that.

And even if she’s just a “messenger pigeon”, she represents the White House and floating around the idea of the draft being activation as the White House press secretary should be taken seriously. You do realize that hegseth is a Christian nationalist, like many of them? the idea of “this war is ordained by god, and will bring about the return of Jesus” is circling through the fucking military due to some generals and officials.

No one floated the idea. The news media wanted to ask a question to provoke a message in the media and it worked. She didn’t say yes or no. She couldn’t say no, because that’s probably not something they’ve even considered talking about yet. Why would the White House consider a draft before even having boots on the ground bruh? I don’t really know what you’re trying to get at with hegseth, I know who he is. This isn’t a Christian nationalist war, it’s for a multitude of geopolitical reasons
