People with visas were deported because they criticized Israel 😂 what are you talking about “at least we have free speech”
At least in the US, we have free speech. Meanwhile, Brits get arrested for “offensive” tweets and criticizing the government.

There have been a number of visa cancellations under this new government due to speech those people expressed. Six people had their visas canceled for insulting Charlie Kirk. Several others, primarily college students, were targeted for pro-Palestine activism. These individuals were kidnapped by ice and became involved in long legal battles to keep their status. Rumeysa Ozturk, Mahmoud Khalil, and Mohsen Madawi are examples.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but cancelling a Visa is not a conviction, and grounds for cancelling a Visa are not based on the law alone. Visa holders are protected by the first amendment, but the first amendment does not protect them from being deported.

If there are ongoing legal battles about specific situations, it is hard to say who is in the wrong assuming trust in the court of law.
