Fun fact: Eisenhower is the only president to have ever held a pilots license and even flew Air Force One on multiple occasions (albeit Air Force One was actually just a 1955 Aero Commander then and not a 747, but still pretty baller)
Flying magazine says three us presidents have has pilot’s certificates. Are those different from pilots licenses?

Shit I thought I misremembered the Bushes both flying planes. I think it was Bush 41 who survived an actual crash but I need to read again.

U right, but they stopped flying once they got into politics and their certificates expired. Albeit it just takes a couple hours of training to do a flight review and be good for another 24 months, they technically weren’t legal pilots during their presidency.
