In Iran it’s legal. Here it isn’t, we don’t hold our leaders accountable for our own laws. Under US law the victims on the island are victims. Under Iranian law child marriage is legal and they wouldn’t be considered victims under the law. I’m not saying it’s right but you can’t look at it from a western pov

It would be legal and thus they would face no consequences. It’s not right, but the fact is pedophilia is a crime here in the US and at the very least the US citizens on the list who had been confirmed pedos should have faced justice, but will not because they have money and know people

It’s just an odd thing to point out.. and I disagree with the irony, from our perspective it is ironic but from an Iranian perspective they’re criticizing us for not holding our leaders accountable to our laws.

I don’t think the laws of a theocratic dictatorship speak for all Iranians. I also don’t think it’s odd. Again by your logic it’s them going “hahaha you are a criminal for pedophilia while I enjoy the privilege of it”.
