The Bible is a collection of many stories from many times written by different people all influenced by god. If you actually study the structure of the Bible. If it’s random then it’s the best novel of all time. Because it connects back with itself in previous books with different authors over 50,000 times. Also many events in the Bible are real historical events like Babylonian takeover of Israel.

Check out The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel, he was an expert Ivy League journalist who tried to disprove Christianity for years and compiled all his research into that book

Yeah sure, humanity needs forgiveness from a God that solves half of his problems with genocide. Nice one.

including historical events makes it less holy. they had to insert their world into divinity

i mean He is the one who gave us life, so only He has the right to take it away, because He literally gave it to us. He actually has the right to do that

Sure, but I can easily imagine a God who doesn’t do that. Who actually uses his omnipotence to prevent the most amount of suffering he possibly can instead of cause it himself. Who can remain as calm as a Buddha if the people—which HE gave free will to—don’t worship him to the point of near pain. If this being is considered not only onnibenevolent, but also the SOURCE of all things good—demonstrating the “holiness” of the story—then why is it so easy to imagine a better version of him???

There is also Harry Potter, twilight, the hobbit, Star Wars, star treck, even shrek and many other large franchises that have also accomplished world building. There is no direct eyewitnesses of Jesus that wrote the books.
