political parties were created by ruling classes to keep the population divided by labels (dem vs rep). in the eyes of the ruling class, the united states is a one party system because at the end of the day, both parties push their agenda
Your “dictatorship of the working class” will never exist in practice unless you let the direction of the government be decided by a voting proletariat …and good luck ever seeing fair elections in a one-party state

the only differences are who they will send to drop the bombs on brown people. democrats will sell you pseudo-progressivism by allowing women, gay, and trans people into the military while they violate the human rights of those standing in the way of the billionaires profit. that’s why malcolm x says liberals are more dangerous than conservatives because at least a conservative is honest about their intentions and not sly like a fox

by one ruling class in particular, aristocratic societies didn’t have political parties until they were forced to democratize by the pressures of the bourgeoisie and proletariat, and communist states are one-party.
