The problem with this statement is republicans haven’t been letting democrats come to the table. There has been no budging or room for negotiation. Democrats have essentially been locked out of all matters. That isn’t to say that this shutdown is solely on republicans. The democrats did not agree to fund the government. I guess they are now making a stand.
