I don’t think they have the prerequisite understanding that most of our economy is built purely on parasitism. Once you understand that, a lot more makes sense. Hopefully they’ll get there eventually OP

No it’s not. You need to understand that unless you are investing in an IPO then you’re in the secondary market and you are trading with random individuals who own shares, not giving capital to the company.

Unless you’re buying directly from the business, and actually providing value to it by being there, you’re part of the parasite problem. The fact that you explained things from purely the stock trader side tells me all I need to know. What I’m talking about isn’t some new kind of business. Yea, it’s dirty, and it’s exactly what you do. Don’t criticize a hog if you’re the one rolling around in the mud.

You people are so vague and love buzzwords. I’ve seen parasite problem so many times yet no one can articulate what it means. It’s not even a good analogy since parasites latch on to prey and the market I participate in requires a self-interested buyer and seller. I can’t buy what no one is selling and can’t sell what no one is buying.
