I didn’t say you said it was okay we did it. You used the fact that a small population of rich elites did it to compare our two societies. The Aztecs were in fact barbaric and do not even begin to compare to the civilization we have the privilege of living in today

I’m not sure I think it’s a privilege to live in a society where our overlords get to pick and choose which kids from school yearbooks and social media that they wanna abduct and do insane and disturbing things to. We are no different from them. The only difference is it’s not simply religious leaders picking us for slaughter, it’s the rich, and they control everything

It’s not that my life isn’t better, it’s that we are barbaric too. We are not better just because we get bread and circuses. I’m not talking about standards of living, I am talking about violence. We are just as violent and brutal

I think it actually is a norm. And we have just been blind to it. The rich openly laugh in our faces. They are evil child eaters and pulled one over us for however long. Everything that exists that they influenced is in part or in whole a lie to keep us blind and subservient.

If a small fraction of the rich elite got together in secret to do these things, and then the ring leaders were arrested and the participants publicly shamed, then no, that’s not what it means to be a norm

No. It is most of them. The rich, our leaders, foreign leaders, certain business leaders, religious leaders, judges, lawyers. Many of them knew. They have been revealed what they are and we cannot heal as a society until we force them to atone with their actions and the longer we tolerate their existence the more we prove ourselves to be failures.
