There is a problem in many Republican states where public education programs are left to rot (WV, OK). However, looking at the whole country, many deep red states have well funded, high performing public school systems. Not as simple as you want it to be.

I love how republicans always talk about wanting to hire American workers and then also limit access to education so our workforce is dumb asf and less skilled than a lot of immigrants

And the bluest cities in the bluest states often have the WORST schools with the most funding. Funny how they always leave that out when they claim educational superiority

Op here, yeah there are exceptions for sure and I appreciate you sending something with an actual source. I really shouldn’t have said “always”, “usually” would’ve been more accurate. Especially on the federal level, I’m sure it’s slightly less backward at the state level

I’ve heard Mississippi has in the last few years massively rehauled their education system and dramatically improved results, and good on them

I’d love to see how this correlates with funding. California budgeted $28,282 per public school student this year and seems to be getting below average results.

lol you were ranting, it’s ok, we all do it 👍 republicans talk a lot about American workers but don’t spend a lot of time thinking like American workers. I think the direction I would push you is considering what benefit National economic programs provide? State programs designed to keep cities funded and rural areas updated seem to have a much better impact. A lot of money has been spent at the DoE for 55 years for test scores to be stagnant.
