This is why having a strong constitutionally backed SCOTUS is essential to our democracy. Literally will turn a tyrant into a beggar.

And that’s why republicans worked for DECADES to stack the Supreme Court and other federal courts in their favor.

Not to make democracy better, but to circumvent the check of the Supreme Court to their power, just clarifying. Of course, they didn’t stack it as much as they‘d like (evidence above), but they did pretty damn well, to the detriment of the rest of us.
