Any form of generalization, particularly that stemming from hate, is always counterintuitive to any movement. So yeah, misandry is counterintuitive to feminism for sure. That said, hate doesn’t come out of a vacuum. It’s either taught or experienced- sometimes in even more traumatic ways. I believe it’s important to recognize that as well

Of course hate is formed through experience or doctrine, but it can not and should not be permissible. Its on the individual to dismantle and overcome their hatred. Excusing misandry, regardless of its structural power, is a slippery slope to legitmizing other forms of hatred with a systemic structure of oppression.
