
I don’t think there’s a non-zero chance of civil conflict, but I also don’t think it would be like the Spanish Civil War specifically. Mainly because of what I just mentioned, the Spanish Civil War isn’t just notable as a civil conflict, it’s notable that it was basically entirely run from outside the country, with foreign interests supporting each side out of a desire for Spain as an ally in the upcoming war they all knew was coming.
There isn’t a true parallel to what a second civil war would look like, I say Spanish because an American version would probably also be loose coalitions of different factions with occasional infighting. I do believe foreign powers will intervene. China and maybe Cuba will fall on the leftist factions. The Right won’t have many allies but will probably have military and law enforcement support. Russia might play both sides and supply them as well
