Democrats would be pissed. You know how many seats they’d lose? Yes, republicans lose some too, but Dems lose more. Just look at Cali and Illinois. They’d lose so many seats. Plus Dems gerrymander based on race and if we stop that, it’s somehow racism. (I want to ban gerrymandering)

HR 158 the CLEAN elections act: went nowhere S2285 the redistricting reform act of 2025: went nowhere S3750 the redistricting reform act of 2024: went nowhere All three were introduced by democrats and did nothing but require independent redistricting commissions and all three were killed by republicans. Then of course there was hr1 the For The People act which did that and a lot of other good things. Also killed by republicans
