There are plenty of things to rightfully criticize Stalin about, the myth he met his wife when she was underage is simply that, they did not actually begin a relationship until she was an adult

Even if that specific rumor is untrue many of Stalin’s closest political allies were notorious child abusers (I.e. Lavrentiy Beria)

And they were executed when it came to light after Stalins death, those who were aware were too afraid to be accused of political motivation for such accusations and never brought it to his attention. A valid criticism of the very tense political environment created by paranoia and fear, but one that was created by the global war against communism.
