But I thought your guys' whole campaign was getting criminals out of the country? These people have done about the same as failing to renew your drivers license or paying your taxes a little late. Would you want to be shipped of to a place that you haven't been to since you were a child simply because you committed a civil offense?

Under your ideology, a 18 year old was sent to an El Salvadoran prison because he failed to renew his papers, which expired when he was 7. How does that context give our government any grounds to send him there?

The kids name is Marcelo Gomes de Silva. I made a mistake in my words, he wasn't sent to an El Salvadoran prison, but was sent to a detention center in which each cell had 20 to 35 men in it, so you'll have to pardon my misspeak on that. He is an 18 year old that they detained on his way to volleyball practice because they were looking for his father, which the vehicle was registered to.

What do you want me to make of you when you make the statement "it doesn't have to be a federal crime to warrant* deportation"? Should I assume that you are on the side of immigrants who are just trying to live a normal life here despite their status? Or should I assume that you believe it's fine to deport these people even if they're not actual criminals? Genuinely, based off your comment, which narrative does it make more sense to assume
