Y'all have too much faith in this country's ability to maintain peace and freedom (or rather complete lack thereof). America has only ever been free and at peace for select classes of people. The American "dream" is a lie built on mountains of lies.

It's not about getting a job. That's easy. The problem is sustaining yourself under capitalism doing work that doesn't exploit others or lead to your own exploitation. It's just not possible. I want to do work that has meaning and fulfillment. That kind of work doesn't get paid in this country.

There is more to life than buying things but unfortunately many of life essentials are privatized and industrialized making buying things nonnegotiable. That's wrong especially when all life on this planet is paying the price.
