I think many of them go into politics with good intentions. Then they learn the rules of the game. Anyone that goes against the agenda will see their competition receiving millions of dollars in campaign funds when the time comes for re-election. One can only wish for another party to gain traction. It will never happen.

Yeah I’m a pre-law and I smoke a lot of weed too but I’m a white dude, my folks pay my tuition and rent but I gotta work for my weed and bar money. It’s actually kinda crazy how “Welfare Queen” went from what the tabloids called one person committing actual criminal welfare fraud, who was caught, prosecuted, and sent to jail for what she was doing, became a stereotype of everyone on welfare. Like no, clearly most people on welfare are not living like that, “The Welfare Queen” was a literal white collar criminal, not an average food stamps recipient.

i agree with you but we actually need a third party to campaign, and both dems and republicans make it difficult for third parties to do so. if we’re gonna start somwhere, it needs to be at the local and state levels

my parents are immigrants 😭 and my dad comes from a wealthy family so i never lived the struggling first gen life. but i get wym. i love the black diaspora i’m proud and inspired by how black americans continue the thrive, adapt, and overcome no matter what the system throws at them
