Two things can be true at once: - Platner is not fit to serve as Senator and should drop out of the race immediately. - These scandals are being revealed because his politics work against the system rather than within it.

Re: Platner Believe all women but the timing of these allegations have been at the very least somewhat suspicious, I do find it funny that the media reports it with as much gusto as possible but still remains quiet on the whole sex trafficking president

that’s true. however I don’t think I want our side to get better at hushing up sexual assault allegations. I know it’s frustrating but it’s a good thing that our candidates are exposed in that way when they suck

There are many progressive candidates (more progressive, mind you) like Mamdani and El Sayed who have not been credibly accused of sexual assault. Platner has to go. It sickens me to see some online “progressives” continue to defend him

We shouldn’t hush up these allegations at all. He is not fit to be a Senator. What I’m saying is if he were an establishment candidate, it’s far less likely this would’ve come to light.

If he was an establishment candidate it would come out! It’s called opposition research! Establishment politicians are taken down by this stuff all the time.

This is crazy spin. I mean the primary is over. Just say SA is bad and skip the fake establishment stuff. Platner had establishment support!
