ffs they openly say they dont want the separation of church and state when its their church. i saw a clip of talarico questioning someone in some texas body about the bill they were proposing to put the 10 commandments in classrooms, and its just "nope no separation of state"

Sharia Law is bad but I don’t see many politicians calling for it, if at all, in America. It’s just being used to push Islamophobic messaging before elections to try to prevent well-polling, popular, and likely candidates who are Muslim. It’s the definition of stoking fear to manipulate the voters lol

For example, if we judge Christianity on its history it has been used to justify the murder, execution, and brutalization of millions if not billions throughout history. It was used to justify slavery, killing of Native populations, to go to war in Europe, to siege Jerusalem (repeatedly), to execute “witches”, to burn Joan of Arc at the stake, etc. Basically what I mean is, don’t let extremists taint your view of an entire group of people

Btw Sharia Law is a set of principles of how Muslims are supposed to live their lives, treat others, etc. It’s not a set of laws. Also, a lot of Muslim nations took from Europe to make their laws. So just know that when you hear about these nations stoning women for not wearing a hijab or killing people for being gay, just know that that comes from both an extreme interpretation of the Quran, and European tradition. It’s not at all what most Muslims want or believe in.

The same with Christianity when it comes to gay people, they use bible verses to condemn others and judge them when that’s exactly what God tells us NOT to do. Makes me sad when people weaponize my religion
