It won’t. Venezuelan oil is kinda bad and takes a ton of money to refine it all. There’s a reason their oil hasn’t been taken until now

Their infrastructure is also poorly maintained (corruption and lack of reinvestment into operations, combined with sanctions later on), so extraction is basically impossible

He said that oil companies will pay for it but they will be reimbursed. So taxpayers are basically on the hook unless the oil companies can get loans for this or fund it with their revenue from elsewhere

Even then it's not about rebuilding Venezuela it's making sure they pick the right leader that will allow us to do whatever we want. The next leader could be worse than Maduro and our government wouldn't give a fuck

Yeah the process of getting all that oil would be a nightmare financially. All that effort into infrastructure and refining just for a drop of what is pretty crummy oil. It just isn’t a good investment
