most people do not think there are more than two genders, including trans people. the idea that we think there’s 200 genders is a stereotype. most people fall under man, woman, or nonbinary, and nonbinary isn’t a third gender it’s an umbrella term for people who don’t align strictly as a man or a woman.

Well there are other genders in the way that societal perceptions of gender are flexible, so really there’s as many genders as there are people to have them, although most people are either male or female
