I think that there are a lot of celebrity fools - Carlin was just one of them. And just because someone isn’t hired by Russia or China on a pay-per-post basis doesn’t mean they can’t be a fellow traveller or useful idiot.

Yes - so does Putin’s Russian Nationalism and Xi’s Chinese Communism, incidentally. The global nationalist movement is quite amusingly similar whenever it raises uts ugly head.

I support people’s right to be wrong - and I know that banning their hatefulness would just push it underground. It would give it a veneer of mysticism and special secrecy which it lacks. I’d rather people be able to see Nazis and avoid them than be tricked by their lying wiles.
