Are we really going to criminalize being a victim of brainwashing now?

At the end of the day no, but only because it’s a slippery slope. That would also put INSANE strain on the (already overwhelmed) legal system

To #2 as a response (I can’t reply to the thread): I’m hopeful that one day we’ll be last all this divisive hate and oppression, but who knows when that’ll be :/ It seems like 1 blocked me lmao

You can’t jail someone for voting. That would set a very bad precedent and allow for anyone to punish political dissenters. Dont get me wrong, I agree that the people who voted for Trump while knowing he was straight up evil are morons, but jailing them for voting is not the solution

Depends entirely on your reasons for disagreeing and what your current beliefs are

here’s your options: either you’ve been conditioned into supporting the traitorous pedophile, as most of his supporters were, or you’re one of the few who vividly support his oppressive goals (meaning the white supremacists and Christian nationalists in his corner) which one are you?

Can you elaborate on your reasons? I’m just making a generalization. Maybe you voted for him just because your taxes would be lower, you own oil and defense stocks, or you support Israel

I mean if I’m being honest I’d kiiinda understand (but not agree with) them blocking you (he might’ve thought you were overly combative), but I tried to be kind 😭😭

yk what I can see what you mean assuming he viewed my comments as an attack on his Faith, but I can’t comprehend blocking you aside from avoiding any conflicting feedback

It’s very fair tbh, I feel a bit bad for getting overly aggressive with him but I just kept repeatedly losing my patience with the shit he was justifying 😭 I appreciate you saying this stuff because I need to remember to try to keep a level head during those conversations, otherwise they end up a circular escalation loop
