 There are people out there who seriously hold celebs and content creators to higher standards than their leaders. The bar is in hell. One guy says awful shit? Cancel him to hell. Politician makes our lives materially worse? Give them every vote!

Idk man. I see what you’re saying, but i dont think most people see it that way, genuinely. Like you have the power to just… not vote for someone. Or be critical of them. That doesn’t require a gun. Yet people don’t. Not only that, they defend these politicians tooth and nail sometimes. There’s a dissonance there.

Like these celebs that have very little to no impact on our daily lives, they will tear them down. Expend so much energy thinking about it and arguing over it all. But then the evil deeds of politicians just get filed away and more often than not, simply forgotten
