Can’t really do that for congressionally created agencies, especially when DHS encompasses so many other divisions including CISA and FEMA

Couldnt they be shifted to other agencies? But tbh I don’t think DHS needs to be abolished but it needs to be completely dismantled and rebuilt. Objectively it makes sense to have a security agency for the country but it has long been used to spy on, control, and abuse Americans (citizens and non citizens). The Patriot act needs to be repealed. The domestic surveillance needs to end. The 4th amendment must be enforced and the paramilitary that is ICE must be abolished.

Hmm yeah, I agree with that. The NSA also gets quite a bit of their power from the Patriot Act too. Anyone who joined DHS leadership under Trump needs to be cleaned out at the very least. And all of ICE
