Australia is easier to get citizenship + has more jobs + better research in the field I want to go into. Plus, I can start my career in Australia and eventually migrate to New Zealand if I want thanks to the Trans-Tasman Travel Agreement. An Australian citizen can work in live in New Zealand indefinitely.
