Calling what happened in Venezuela a “law enforcement action” is totally absurd So using military munitions and force is law enforcement now? Where does it stop? Is it okay to bomb Americans now as long as it’s “enforcing law?” We are so cooked

That was to get around the fact they need congressional approval for uses of military force

Biden dronestruck leaders of Irans military and nobody batted an eye. Obama did so much worse than this dozens of times and nobody batted an eye. Trump does the cleanest 3 hour military operation in history and everyone acts like he’s a monster for it. Stop this stupid double standard bs.

I’m well aware of what it was used for, but it opens the door for so many things and it seems like nobody realizes that Including the military in law enforcement, even internationally, normalizes its use

Oh. I mean the coast guard already has an exception under the posse comitatus act, so this isn’t entirely unprecedented. And I think it’s probably legally questionable that we’ve randomly picked up others internationally too. They usually ended up in Gitmo though, rather than SDNY

The problem is the Marines, Navy, Army, and Air Force were all included in the Venezuela operation. It’s illegal but I feel like nothing is stopping this administration from quite literally militarizing the police
