A stupid person can be well educated, and an intelligent person could have never spent a day in school in their life. Intelligence does not increase with education, although education can be easier if you are intelligent. There were cavemen smarter than you, I promise. And there's absolute idiots who are better educated than you.
That's like saying going to the gym does nothing for strength. A stupid person can up their IQ through education. An intelligent person will suffer cognitive decline with mental stagnation/lack of education. Education is POWER. Like a naturally strong person who does nothing will become rapidly out-classed by a weak person who dedicates their life to fitness. A naturally smart person who does nothing will become rapidly out-classed by a dull person who dedicates their life to education.
Except it's nothing like that at all 😂. When you work out, you tear muscle fibers, resulting in increased muscle mass as your brain thinks it's necessary. Education does nothing to increase IQ (a broken metric anyways). There is no growth in brain mass, or any observable increase in intelligence. Intelligence does not mean knowing things. In fact, IQs taken prior to compulsory education are often higher scores than after it is finished, as US schools do not stimulate or foster intelligence.
I'd recommend being highly educated, it has served me well, and yes, knowledge can be power. However, my IQ is lower now than it was prior to compulsory education, as like I mentioned, it does not foster or stimulate intellect. Yours is likely either the same or lower as well, unless your IQ was below 80 as a child, which is the demographic where IQs increase slightly after compulsory education. Funny phenomenon that speaks volumes on the US education systems efficacy.
Education creates new neural pathways, keeps old ones alive, and promotes neuroplasticity. You need to exercise the brain just as you need to exercise the body. I agree that the general education system in the US is not very stimulating/beneficial though (it's very important to learn the basic introductory set of information offered by K-12, though I disagree with how it's gone about). I'm referring to higher education.
Yeah alcohol will do that to ya, but stimulation doesn't have to come from education. Even though you don't lots of intelligent individuals use their head outside of education. And I’m not even disagreeing with your post I agree that MAGA supporters have a much lower IQ on average. Just to say that education=inteliigence or even that it has anything to do with increasing it is blatantly incorrect, they're separate things.
Now, I’m going to steer away from IQ with this point, however i do think it’s very valid. Every time i attempt to have a constructive argument with a Trump supporter on this app they will make things up and/or reference very obviously unreliable sources (ie. Fox News which has been sued for their fake news). There are stupid people of all walks of life, not denying that, but the repetitive inability to have a debate without making things up doesn’t scream intelligence to me
Ok clearly you want to argue (just proving the easily offended point once again) so for the fun of it, I’ll bite. You’re claiming this is “cope”? Genuinely what does that even mean? Cope over Trump being president? So does that mean when you maniacs raided the capital and killed a man because Trump lost, was that “cope”? This has become such a redundantly used phrase that it’s lost any and all meaning. And, interestingly enough, it never had meaning in the political world to begin with.
