OP here. It was for a lot of reasons but the final straw was her threatening to call ICE on my partner who’s here on a work visa.

I mean it’s not like I can relate that much. Neither of my parents are Republican dicksucks, but I find it really hard to imagine cutting off an immediate family member because of a political opinion unless it’s directly affecting quality of life such as LGBTQ+ or not liking spouse/relationship partner.
