I mean it’s economic Darwinism fr. Rich dude will join frats and exclude other men from their mating opportunities. Like elephant seals on a beach

This past week has really shown is there are some deep problems with higher education. Especially Ivy League, D1, and private schools. Two dead from kratom (wouldn’t be surprised if thats part of initiation), Cornell 7, hazing ritual got police called on them, and a hockey player in a coma with calls from teammates to fire coaching staff.

it’s not weird, if men want to go to fraternity events they should join a fraternity

Unavoidably weird sounding comment Ig but I just think it’s interesting, I really think it’s cool to look at human mating strategies and how they kinda resemble other mammal mating strategies

It’s disingenuous to compare complex human mating practices to other mammals. Boiling it down to “elephant seals” ignores years of research, social variations within cultures, and any sort of nuance. Frat guys are just horny for more women at parties. It’s that simple

You mean the organizations that are actively known for hazing, abuse, are very expensive, have insane commitment standards and are basically “pay to have friends”? It’s not every frat, but that’s not pressure you should put random guys who just want to party

that’s why bars and clubs exist though. the brotherhood and dues make events for the brothers, not random guys.

Fair point, then the only way to get into frat parties should be frat membership. That’s it. No vouches, no allowing random people to bring women to “balance a ratio” in exchange for letting them in

crazy that your critique was 1 being disingenuous and dismissive, then you turned around and did the same thing😭

Idk what’s disingenuous about it, elephant seals in different parts of the world have different mating cultures too. Like if I was an elephant seal and you were on my beach id just use my immense weight to crush you instead of talking shit cause I stand on business

Maybe because comparing humans to animals and animal mating rituals to SA is fucking gross as fuck

I didn’t say anything about SA, that was completely absent from all my comments. If you meant this to be a convo about that I can see how you misconstrued my point tho

But comparing humans to animals is pedestrian, I mean we are animals. Drawing conclusions between behaviors is the most obvious thing in the world
