The causes are not illegal immigration, it’s a mismatch in the purchasing power and value of money. Houses are more expensive to build, interest rates are higher, affordable housing isn’t being built, and the cost/risk of loans, inability to save, or the quality of homes make it hard for people to actually own a home. Companies are cutting corners (and wages), replacing jobs with automation/ai, and more focused on the stability of their company rather than onboarding.
Yeah, you’re making me the enemy. What I want is for the people to uphold the law, and for people to come here legally. Illegal immigration is allowing more drugs to come in, which gives more control to the cartels, and it’s allowing more sexual trafficking and kidnappings to happen. They are trying to survive, but they’re leaving their home countries because they ruined it. They need to focus on making their countries better instead of making ours actively worse. They don’t want to assimilate.
Actually most drugs come in through corrupt border guards. Why would any criminal gang use illegal immigrants as a drug mule? That’s literally picking the only group that can get in legal trouble by existing. They could (and do) pay off border police to either act as mules, or simply just let them through.
So to be clear, you’re saying we should stop the cartels human trafficking, by imprisoning illegal immigrants, a group of people who are primarily the VICTIMS of the cartels trafficking. Do you think the people coming here are cartel members? No bro, don’t be stupid. They live in the fucking country their cartel operates in. The people they’re trafficking work on fucking farms and shit.
