In my experience it’s the right who’s least willing to bridge that gap. When I told my ex that I’m bothered by how much credibility ppl give President Trump given that he’s openly predatory toward women, she broke up with me like a week later.

I dated a Trumpie in high school, he lied to me about his beliefs and then slowly fed his actual opinions to me as we dated. He cried and punched a wall when I broke up with him and tried to accuse me of discrimination against his beliefs. Like bitch, your opinions are trash but you also LIED about them for MONTHS. Fkin pathetic.

IMO it’s republicans who are more willing to date liberals, probably because they want to try to convince them of their dumbass ideology. I meanwhile am a leftist and I don’t want to date liberals or conservatives

I think republicans are willing to date liberals because they view it as a simple difference in opinion, whereas liberals or people farther left are like “what the fuck I’m not gonna date a racist”

In more ways than one man. I loved her but Jesus Christ I got treated like shit after the breakup. I’m over that relationship but kinda have no idea how to trust someone enough to be in a romantic relationship anymore? I got messed up pretty bad.

It will get better! I also felt like I couldn’t trust anyone after dumping my ex for his lies but in time I’ve met so many wonderful people and opened up a bit more. I recently married a Canadian who hates Trump as much as I do and it’s been bliss. You deserve happiness too!
