Your consciousness forms your values. You choose to either formulate your own values as a human being or strip yourself of chunks of your free will in conformity to the ancient texts while spending even a fuckin minute crying over what some ancient texts say our ancestors did.

Mistake me not for trying to defend depravity either. We cannot expect to progress further as humans if we continue to perceive good will as some mystical and god-like ability, when in reality it is what makes us human to begin with.
