If you work your whole life paying into a system, and then that system spits in your face in return, it’s not unreasonable to want to switch to a different system. Especially when all your friends had the same experience, and you see rich getting richer

The nation starves, and the ones telling us this system is the only way, are doing nothing to improve society if they can’t profit from it

The way that conservative outlets say “tax the rich” like we’re asking for them to give us the lives of their first born as sacrifice, it’s so absurd.

Or out of the country? These people can pack up and be damn near anywhere in the world in the matter of moments. What’s stopping them from doing that the moment we hand them the bill for our debt or other national expenses?

1) You can have them pay an exit tax when they leave 2) oh nooo the corporations that exploit workers on the largest scale are LEAVING the area? That’s so horrible

You do realize what happens when they leave right? In many cases the employees leave too or are offered buyouts. That shrinks the tax base much more than the company leaving . When that happens city and state budgets take significant hits. they take in less income,sales and property taxes as well as payroll taxes. Eventually you end up like Detroit did.

Going from a city where anyone could get a good paying job and build a family and build savings to a city that declares bankruptcy
