Not at all crazy. I truly believe it’s not just young people. People in general don’t like being told that everything they do is offensive. Even the people that are offended by many things is a very, very small minority, it gives right wingers a lot of ammo to use to push people who might be more central to the right. The annoyingly flamboyant far left pushed many of centrists to be more right leaning imo. So yes exactly what you’re saying

A major thing that pushed me into the pipeline was the “liberals get owned” YouTube videos with “Triglypuff” and Buzzfeed and things about air conditioning being sexist or that one Buzzfeed manspreading video. Luckily I made it out after a while, but I look around at the people my age and think like wow, a lot of these people didn’t make it out, and a lot of them are current far right Trump supporters
