1. The building is for the American people 2. The building is an asset. It will appreciate in value 3. No financial gain in free lunches. In fact many people will try to cheat the system & cost us 5x the cost of the ballroom 4. Again ballroom is for us

1. The building is for Trump’s ego 2. What tf would the value matter for. Are we planning to sell the White House? 3. It’s good when kids don’t starve actually 4. No it isn’t. Can’t tell if this is gullibility or dishonesty.

It’s for all of us. OP is saying that when people from other countries watch videos of the United States or events held in the ballroom, that becomes a reflection of America and the American people. It represents our culture, our standards, and how we present ourselves to the rest of the world. These events shape global perceptions of the country, so the setting and presentation should reflect pride, excellence, and the image America wants to project.

Dear GOD I hope Trump’s gaudy gold-plated horrible taste in design doesn’t represent our culture to the world

Obviously 99% of us won’t ever step foot but it’s still a reflection of America.

Not really. If Kamala redid the ballroom pink they would’ve gave her a Nobel peace prize LMAO. anyways the old ballroom is very outdated and the reason we don’t even have events frequently there anymore.

I mean a gaudy extravagant display of ego from a con man funded with tech billionaire bribes and appropriated taxpayer funds as Americans starve *is* a reflection of the current state of America. But it’s not a good one.

The ballroom is a needless vanity project for Trump and his buddies, and it’s not exactly that hard to see that
