You mean where minorities have rights and people actually have healthcare? Because there’s multiple things they do better than us. Fun Fact: Every reason why Cuba is a ‘shithole country’ is entirely our fault. Yeah, no shit, a country would fail if their economy is basically torn apart by a global superpower.

If this is over the embargo, they have every other country on the planet but the United States to trade w/ & their still a, in your words, “shithole country”. They weren’t always. They were fabulously wealthy and a great nation. Now they’re in a constant state of famine and the Cuban dream is to leave to the United States. It’s not entirely their fault but it sure as heck isn’t ours. They had a CFA W/ U.S. and had an advantage income 5x 🇺🇸 and a 10x living standard. Now they’re starving.

Well, the US is in a constant state of famine and death. So maybe Cuba and the US have that in common. Also, use some basic literacy skills, I beg of you. The dialogue quotes surrounding ‘shithole country’ implied that those were not my words. The embargo has had a devastating effect on Cuba and were to blame for it. ‘They can just trade with other nations’. I’m assuming you also think other countries pay the tariff, right?

Yes, If Cuba were a highly sought trade partner It’s reasonable to assume other countries would pay a tariff although this has no bearing in terms of rebutting my points. No, the U.S. hasn’t had anything approximating a famine since the 30’s. Final time I’m going to rebut this pt.: just because 🇨🇺 chooses not to trade with the U.S. doesn’t mean they can’t trade with the 195 some odd other countries.

You don’t know anything about famine or death if you think the United States is in any way similar to third world nations. You are sheltered and privileged.

Right… Is that why a majority of Americans don’t make enough to live? Is that why Americans die on the street because they can’t afford an ambulance? Is that why Americans starve to death because they only make minimum wage and have had their SNAP benefits ripped from them in order to fund a war? Is that why there’s an average of more than one mass shooting day in the US? The US is a third world country disguised as a first world one like three kids in a trench coat. Be so for real.

Most Americans do make enough to live but are financially idiotic

The embargo on Cuba heavily incentivizes other countries to not trade with Cuba. Any ship that unloads cargo in Cuba is not allowed to dock in the US for 180 days, and a lot of ships that would dock in Cuba would also want to dock in the US. Cuba also has a very hard time trading with the US dollar, making transactions with other countries difficult.

1 Veracruz exists, so you’re just rehashing the embargo pt. I invite you to any counter to my rebuttal. It would be preferable if you didn’t repeat the same point like a broken record.

How? I can’t post images, +, It seems to me that the general consensus in that particular flavor of mass delusion is that if 1 isn’t an expert in Marx studies, then they can’t critique it. If they’ve read it but aren’t converts, they just don’t understand it or didn’t read it properly.

If you don’t understand a thing then no you can’t make an effective critique. And you never elaborated on why you hold your (uneducated) opinion on socialist theory

And appealing to the “general consensus,” which is already a shaky term because what’s the population you’re drawing your data from—isn’t actually an argument. It’s basically a slogan
